"825 bars" is essentially a scored work. It is based on Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries." Over 825 bars, deletions and, in a quasi-sculptural process, troughs, cracks, and empty spaces were successively incorporated into the massive structure of Wagner's score.
Wagner's work falls into discontinuity; in and through the recesses we encounter layers of material; equally, dwelling becomes possible in the increasing empty spaces.
It took 825 bars to come to rest.
